Real friendships, on purpose
Dinners, drinks and evenings with the same faces often enough that they stop being contacts and start being friends. Nobody pitches. Nobody works the room.

Suburban Social Club brings together ambitious founders, couples, creators, executives and interesting people across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and beyond for curated events, real friendships and a stronger local circle.

Suburban Social Club is not open yet. What exists today is the community, and it is being built carefully. Here is the order everything happens in.
Right now the work is people. We are meeting founders, operators, creators and couples across the region one at a time, and putting the right ones in touch with each other. No venue, no lanyards, no fees. Just the first hundred introductions that everything else gets built on.
As the group takes shape we begin hosting a small number of invitation-only evenings: dinners, sport nights and socials in the best rooms in Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton. Capacity is deliberately small, and every seat is by application.
The destination is a proper members club: a real calendar, business dinners, operator workshops, partner and vendor rates, retreats and travel, and a membership that pays for itself. That is what we are building toward, and founding members shape it.
Timing, venues, partners and pricing for phases two and three are our plan, not a promise. We would rather under-sell it and over-deliver.

Years went into the businesses. Every decision deliberate, every hour accounted for. Somewhere in there the friendships were left to chance, and chance is a bad strategy for the people around you.
What was missing was simple. People who understand ambition, health, family and design. Someone to play pickleball with on a Tuesday. Another couple building something of their own. A room where a big goal sounds normal.
All of those people already live here, fifteen minutes away, too busy to drive downtown to find each other. So we started building the room at home.
Careers get built on purpose. Circles should too.
Read the founders' letter003 — The premise
"You have to move to the city to make it."
That was true when there was no way to find your people locally. It isn't anymore. Between Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Niagara there are more high performers per square kilometre than most downtowns, all of them too busy to drive an hour to meet each other.
We're the reason they finally do.
Each card below is labelled with where it sits today, so you know exactly what you are joining and what is still ahead.
Dinners, drinks and evenings with the same faces often enough that they stop being contacts and start being friends. Nobody pitches. Nobody works the room.
Sit beside people who have already solved the thing costing you sleep. Honest numbers, straight answers, and the intro you would never get cold.
Pickleball and padel nights, golf mornings, run club, training and recovery with partner gyms. Ambition without health is a short story.
Small, practical sessions run by operators rather than speakers. Hiring, offers, capital, systems, brand. You leave with the next three moves written down.
The plan is standing arrangements with restaurants, studios, clubs and brands across the region, plus member trips and retreats once the group is the right size.
We intend to document the build. Members who want reach get shot properly and published. Members who would rather stay off camera never appear.
Presence is the whole thing. The people who come are the ones who get everything out of this.
Give the intro, share the number, take the call. Generosity compounds faster than any pitch.
No performance, no highlight reels. The honest version of the business is what actually helps.
Health, marriage, friendships, company. All four, or none of it worked.

None of this is running at full scale yet. These are the formats we are building, in the order we intend to bring them on. Images are illustrative of the plan.

In progressFounders and operators past the guessing stage, with something real on the line.
People who left the pension, the badge, or the safe title to bet on themselves.
Two people building one thing. Rare, misunderstood, and very welcome here.
Local restaurants, studios, clubs and brands who want to host us and look after our members.
Everyone applies. We care less about your revenue than whether people leave a conversation with you feeling better than they arrived.

Business, health, relationships, style, travel and a life well lived. That is the whole brief. The club is where it happens in person, and everything we make around it points back to the same idea: ambition should feel normal, and it should look good.
Join the listNot yet. Today we are building the community itself, meeting people and making introductions. Select private events come next, by application only. The full private club, with business dinners, workshops, partner rates and retreats, is what we are building toward.
People who bet on themselves and are still betting. Founders and operators, career-changers who walked away from the safe title, and couples building one thing together. If your goals get called unrealistic at family dinners, you will feel at home here.
We read every email ourselves. If it looks like a fit we reach out about a first conversation, and you hear from us as private events open. Being on the list does not guarantee a place, and we keep the founding group small on purpose.
No. You have to be building something and be genuinely useful to the people around you. We would rather have a driven newcomer than a bored millionaire.
Yes. Partners are built in rather than bolted on. One membership is intended to cover both of you, and there will be nights designed for two.
Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Ancaster, Grimsby, Niagara and Milton. Restaurants, courts, gyms and golf courses within about thirty minutes of home. No hour-long drive downtown to meet your own neighbours.
Only if you want to. We plan to film the build because it helps members who want reach. If you would rather stay private, tell us once and you never appear.
Nothing at this stage. There is no membership fee while we are building the community. Pricing for the full club goes out before it launches, and founding members get the first-year rate and keep it.
No. Masterminds sell you a call. We are building a community with standards, in person, in your own city, and the business side follows from the friendships rather than replacing them.
